On November 13 our students competed at the District 7 LDE contest in Mansfield. This contest was a qualifier for the Area contest which will take place next week in Anna. I am pleased to announce that the Agriculture Advocacy team placed 2ndĀ and will be advancing the Area contest! Below are the students on the team as well as the other teams that participated and the AHS students on those teams Agriculture Advocacy 2ndĢż±č±ō²¹³¦±š and advancing to Area contest

AHS is in theĀ FINAL FOURĀ round of the DFW Most Spirited School Challenge; voting is open and ends this Friday, 11/15.
There is no limit on how many times you can vote. The winner receives a $5,000 donation back to their school!Ā Please have your students vote!Ā 
(Tip: alternate voting for Byron Nelson and Keller in the other category so we don't give one school the same number of votes.)

Everyone is excited for Halloween on Thursday, but that is not the only fun this week! Friday Mrs. Ashley Thomas's ESOL/ELDA classes will be celebrating Dia De Los Muertos, and students and teachers are invited to join. The classes have created an offrenda in their classroom and students will be sharing stories of their loved ones during 9th and 10th periods on Friday.

If you have someone that you would like to honor and celebrate, please email Mrs. Ashley Thomas, or bring by C212, a photo of them and we will add them to our offrenda, and please come by and share in the story telling Friday.Ā
