The swim team was one of the AHS teams that did well recently! Arlington high has competed against Grapevine and Colleyville high schools for more than 20 consecutive years.  In those 20+ years, Arlington has never defeated Grapevine or Colleyville - until last night. The Arlington girls swim team had a strong showing. However, the boys swim team defeated both Grapevine and Colleyville boys swim teams for the first time in at least 20 years. In case you missed the announcement!  I'm so proud of our volleyball student-athletes!! These kids work hard and dedicate so many hours alongside a demanding school schedule and are Top of their class!! They give up their summers to be ready for season that starts the first of August! Many are multi-sport athletes too!  Most importantly, I love their love for the sport, their teammates and most Importantly AHS!! #bleedgreen Congratulations on an outstanding year!  The team finished 24-18 (best record in many years!) Bi-District Champions and District 2nd Place. District 8-6A Most Valuable Player: Junior, Kalysa Humbles District 8-6A Setter of the Year: Senior, Mikayla Cathcart 1st Team All-District: Juniors, Ella Irons & Kira Davis, Sophomore, Rylin Otto 2nd Team All-District: Senior, Avery Brown & Junior, Savannah Scroggins Honorable Mention: Senior, Ava Visage & Sophomore, Sayde Gray Academic All-District (A-average for the 1st 6 weeks): Seniors - Avery Brown, Mikayla Cathcart, Chasity Ferguson, Ava Visage & Tristyn Weaver Juniors - Almas Rimas, Kira Davis, Hannah Hubbard, Kalysa Humbles, Ella Irons, Lauret Miller, Liv Trammell, Lauren Zahn Sophomores - Liz Akins, Sophie Gomez, Sayde Gray, Claire Novoselsky, Rylin Otto Kalysa Humbles has been nominated for the TGCA All-Star Texas Team All-State Candidates: Mikayla Cathcart, Kalysa Humbles, Ella Irons, Rylin Otto Seniors Mikayla Cathcart, Ava Visage and Avery Brown all qualified for Academic All-State with a cumulative GPA of 96 or higher! WOW!! Thank you to everyone that came and supported us this year, sent e-mails of support and positive notes!  I can't thank this Colts Family enough. Abby Moore was featured on NBC5 at 6pm last night. You can also see her and her teammates on the basketball court soon. Check with Coach Floyd for their schedule.

Abigail Moore is a standout athlete and scholar at Arlington High School.

The junior is currently ranked second in her class. She's on the varsity girls' basketball team. Moore also plays another varsity sport: baseball.
